Tres Bonne is a new restaurant at the corner of N Higgins Ave and West Front St in downtown Missoula.

It occupies the space formerly held by El Cazador Mexican restaurant, in the historic Hammond Arcade building steps away from the Wilma Theater and the Higgins St Bridge.

The owners are Ben Burda and Drake Doepke of Cucina Florabella, a casual-upscale Italian concept whose success spurred Burda and Doepke to open a sister restaurant in the downtown area. Tres Bonne’s cuisine leans French new-American, with a decidedly lighthearted atmosphere.

There’s a special focus on the AM hours, and Tres Bonne serves a variety of brunch items daily, with spontaneous and fun offerings ranging from lobster corn dogs and shrimp & grits to a crab louis salad. A great amount of gusto goes into the cocktail program, pairing classic cocktail know-how with drinks as similarly playful as the food: foamy drinks and boozy shakes will sit alongside Negronis and Old Fashioneds.

Breakfast and lunch hours are 8am to 3pm Wednesday through Sunday, and we reopen from 5 to close for late night food and libations.
